U.S. One – The Advisor

U.S. One is the investment advisor to One Fund.

The firm is an SEC registered investment advisor based in Reno, Nevada. The company is led by President Paul Hrabal, who serves as One Fund's Chief Investment Officer.

Our Mission

The firm strives to improve the results for individual investors through information and products that 1) simplify the investment process and 2) hold true to the time honored conservative principles of buy-and-hold, low cost index investing.

Our Perspective

The firm believes that individual investors are often overwhelmed by the thousands of mutual funds, investment options and advisors available in the marketplace. Moreover, industry data suggests that most individual investors do not achieve more than a fraction of overall market returns due to poor investment decisions and an emphasis within the asset management industry on high cost, actively managed products. More simplicity, plain spoken language, easy to understand financial advice and an emphasis on low cost, passive investing are needed to help investors improve their investment return opportunities.

Products and Services

The firm is the investment advisor to the One Fund® (NYSE Arca: ONEF), an Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) launched in May 2010. One Fund offers a simple and easy way to own a globally diversified, professionally managed stock portfolio in a single fund.

The firm believes passionately in educating the individual investor and providing them with useful tools to assist them in their investment decision making. In July 2009 the firm released the Keep It Simple Guide To Investing, a free publication that simplifies the investment process for individual investors. It is two pages long and can be read in less than 10 minutes. The Guide covers essential topics such as accumulating savings, paying down debt, building a cash reserve, allocating savings between stocks and bonds and choosing appropriate index-based investment products.

Integrity above all else.

Our commitment is to the highest standards of integrity and transparency in our work. We stand for being above reproach in all of our interactions with clients, vendors and the marketplace.

In a financial relationship, trust matters most.

Before investing you should carefully consider the Fund’s investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses. This and other information is in the prospectus. Please read the prospectus carefully before you invest.

An investment in the Fund is subject to risk, including the possible loss of principal amount invested. Other Fund risks include asset allocation risk, foreign securities and currency risk, emerging markets risk, small-cap, mid-cap and large-cap risk, trading risk, and turnover risk that can increase Fund expenses and may decrease Fund performance. The Fund is, also, subject to the risks, which can result in higher volatility, associated with the underlying ETFs that comprise this “fund of funds”. Newly organized, actively managed Funds have no trading history and there can be no assurance that active trading markets will be developed or maintained. Brokerage costs will reduce returns. When the Fund invests in Underlying ETFs, in addition to directly bearing the expenses associated with its own operations, it will bear a pro rata portion of the Underlying ETFs’ expenses (including operating costs and management fees). Consequently, an investment in the Fund entails more direct and indirect expenses than a direct investment in the Underlying ETF.
